This team teachers are passionate about music & children. We truly recognize the importance of music in early childhood development, and, together with the grownups in class, create a fun, non-formal setting that spurs engagement and supports each child's musical development. Our teachers have all completed the Music Together® teacher training, internship with an experienced team member, and have on-going support from our center as well as with Music Together Worldwide.
We ♥ our teachers!

Megan
Meet Teacher Megan
Megan has been joyfully leading Music Together in Phoenix classes since 2014 and brings a vibrant mix of musical talent, movement magic, and genuine warmth to every class she teaches. She’s a Level I Certified Music Together teacher and a proud graduate of both the University of Arizona and Arizona State University, where she earned her BM and MM in Oboe Performance (yes, she’s that dedicated!).
Music and movement have been a part of Megan’s world since childhood. A former competitive baton twirler and dancer, Megan knows how to move with both grace and fun. These days, you’ll find her keeping the beat on her ukulele, dancing joyfully at African dance classes on Saturdays, and occasionally embracing her inner mermaid, of course!
Megan’s journey with Music Together began as a parent in class with her two young children. She was instantly hooked by the way music and movement came together to spark connection, joy, and early learning. Her kids thrived and now, so do the families she teaches. Megan brings energy, authenticity, and a whole lot of heart into every musical moment.

Sarah
Meet Teacher Sarah
Sarah’s love of music and movement began early; with violin in one hand and ballet slippers on her feet! Over the years, she’s added piano, gymnastics, and dance to her creative journey, all of which helped shape her deep appreciation for the power of music in childhood.
She earned her BA in Music Therapy and spent five years using music to support young children with disabilities before stepping into her most meaningful role yet: full-time mom. Sarah has performed with the Evansville Philharmonic and now plays with several semi-professional orchestras here in Arizona—keeping her musical spirit alive both on and off the stage.
Her Music Together story began as a parent, bringing her daughter to class at just one year old. She quickly fell in love with the philosophy, the joyful community, and the meaningful way music helps children thrive. Today, she brings her rich musical background, gentle presence, and joyful heart to every class she teaches. She is nurturing a love of music in families all across Music Together in Phoenix.
"Sarah was great! So good with the kids and parents, too!"

Madison
Meet Teacher Madison
Madison’s musical journey began with the violin, and it was love at first sound! Over the years, she’s explored a rich blend of classical and folk styles - from Celtic fiddle to mariachi, and has performed with a wide range of ensembles, including ProMusica Arizona, ASU Mariachi Los Diablos del Sol, and several youth and community orchestras. She’s especially passionate about ensemble playing and the way music brings people together in meaningful, joyful ways.
In May 2024, Madison earned her Bachelor of Music in Music Learning and Teaching from Arizona State University. She’s deeply inspired by her mentors and is passionate about helping children and families grow musically, emotionally, and socially through shared musical experiences.
Now as a Music Together teacher, Madison is thrilled to bring her love of music, her warm spirit, and her belief in the power of music to support & strengthen connections for the families of Music Together in Phoenix. She’s honored to be part of such a joyful, nurturing, and musical community.

Katie
Meet Teacher Katie
Katie was born singing and is so happy to be sharing music and movement with families through Music Together. In her younger years she sang with the Phoenix Girls Chorus, was the director of ASU’s all-female a cappella group, the Pitchforks, and has dabbled in guitar, ukelele, harp, and piano. She currently sings with the North Valley Chorale, and her friends know her as a human jukebox. Katie has also worked with young children in a variety of early childhood settings and is firmly rooted in the principle that parents are children’s first teachers! She has her PhD in Family Studies and Human Development and is an early childhood policy researcher – when she’s not singing and dancing in class.
She first attended Music Together classes in 2019 while visiting a friend in Tucson, and from the first class, knew that it was a magical musical experience. She’s been attending with her own children in Phoenix for 3.5 years, and is excited to share the evidence-based curriculum with families and their little ones as a certified Music Together teacher!

Kalee
Meet Teacher Kalee
Growing up, Kalee was involved in theatre production through her local community center and thoroughly enjoyed the community surrounding music and arts. In school, she played the cello and sang as a proud alto. Kalee traded her cello for a ukulele and started playing live music around the valley as a hobby. In 2021, Kalee started working as a preschool teacher in a child-led play-based school. This ignited a passion for partnering with parents to create learning opportunities through music, movement & play. Kalee prioritizes the importance of forming strong familial relationships and modeling gentle communication while leveraging play and shared interests. Building strong relationships with students and their families is essential, as is the ability to adapt lessons to meet diverse learning styles. When Kalee isn’t in the classroom, Kalee stays busy lending her time to families in need of extra help or attending various community gatherings.
Through an invitation from a friend, Kalee was introduced to Music Together as a visitor and enjoyed how inclusive and enriching class is for both children and adults. Kalee is excited to utilize the Music Together principles to inspire a lifelong appreciation for music in children while developing their confidence and social skills through collaborative musical experiences.

Meet Amy, Our Office Manager & Registrar
Amy is the friendly, patient voice behind the scenes who keeps everything running smoothly! Whether she’s helping new families find the perfect class, sending gentle reminders about makeups, or lending a kind ear when someone needs support and Amy does it all with grace and genuine care.
When she’s not making magic happen at Music Together in Phoenix, she’s busy being supermom to her sweet daughter or soaking up the magic at her favorite place, Disneyland (because who doesn’t love a little extra pixie dust?).

Kathy
Meet Kathy, Our Founder and Director
Kathy launched Music Together in Phoenix back in 1999 and has been joyfully making music with families ever since! With a master’s in music education and years of experience teaching everything from preschool music to band and choir, she brings a deep love of both music and child development into every class.
Music Together is the perfect blend of Kathy’s passions: early childhood education, family connection, and the sheer joy of making music. She’s completed both Level I and II Certification with Music Together LLC, studied classical guitar, plays a mean ukulele with her friends, and still finds time to strum uke w friends, garden, chase chickens (and ducks), and occasionally wipe out while trying to surf.
When she’s not in class or planning another joyful music session, you might find her swing dancing with her sweet husband or catching up with her two strong, independent grown daughters.
Kathy believes that music isn’t just fun (though it definitely is!). "It’s a powerful way to bring people together and support children as they grow in all the best ways."
"Kathy is amazing and playful, very authentic in spirit. My children and I truly really enjoy her."
